Funded Scholarships

The Foundation’s success is a direct result of the generous financial support of individual FCBA members and their employers, as well as the time, talents and energy that members bring to the Foundation’s activities.

FCBA Foundation members and supporters help to make educational opportunities available for deserving students entering undergraduate institutions or pursuing their law degrees.

Karen Kincaid
College Scholarship

The Karen A. Kincaid Scholarship is an annual award toward college tuition provided to a deserving high school student. The scholarship pays tribute to the late Karen Kincaid, a partner in Wiley Rein’s Communications Practice. Recipients reflect Karen’s warmth, intellect, and deep commitment to her family and community.

Mark Van Bergh College Scholarship

The Mark Van Bergh Scholarship honors the life, spirit, and dedication of Mark van Bergh, a long-time FCBA member and volunteer. Long at fixture photographing FCBA events, Mark also served as a past Chair of the FCBA Foundation. Recipients reflect Mark’s faithfulness to service, love of learning, and gregarious spirit.

Diane Cornell Fund

In honor of Diane Cornell, a fund supporting the FCBA Foundation has been established. This fund will be used to provide stipends to law students accepting unpaid summer internships.

General Fund

Contributions to the FCBA Foundation General Fund support the full host of FCBA Foundation programs, including college and law school scholarships and law school summer internship stipends.

Named Scholarships

All donors contributing $10,000+ will receive a named scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a college student pursuing their undergraduate degree at a four-year university.

Zion Keller

Qualcomm Incorporated Scholarship ($10,000)

At school, Zion ran track and engaged in a range of creative and technical projects. One of his proudest accomplishments was showcasing one of his video games at the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum.
