AGENDA
The FCBA Wireline Committee is sponsoring this CLE to provide overview from the FCC of its significant 2023 orders and requirements to stop (a) illegal robocalling that impact all voice service providers and (b) illegal robotexting that impact all mobile wireless providers. This CLE will focus on the FCC’s Sixth and Seventh Report and Orders in WC Docket No. 17-97 and CG Docket No. 17-59 that were released on March 17, 2023 and May 19, 2023, respectively, along with the Report and Order in CG Docket Nos. 21-402 and 02-278 that was released on March 17, 2023. An update on the FCC’s recent enforcement efforts to stop illegal robocalling and ensure compliance with the FCC’s associated rules will also be provided. The CLE will then provide an overview of the Industry Traceback Group’s efforts to stop illegal robocalls along with industry perspectives on implementing the newly established FCC requirements.
