Thomas Tingey is graduating from Washington Leadership Academy Public Charter School in Washington, DC, and will be attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, majoring in Computer and Information Technology next fall. Thomas is currently the co-president of his high school’s 3D printing club and has volunteered as a math tutor and a math teaching assistant at school. He loves academic challenges and has taken every Advanced Placement course that his school offers. In his free time, Thomas works on developing his skills in computer animation and high-level origami, for which he has attended multiple national conventions, and also enjoys writing music and playing piano. Thomas has a commitment to diversity and to ethical design and hopes to use his college education to increase inclusivity in tech.
