Shreya Shivakumar is a rising 2L at Columbia Law School. She is a proud first-generation Indian-American who grew up in Manhattan, Queens, and New Jersey. Shreya is a magna cum laude graduate of Barnard College, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Science and Public Policy. At Barnard, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review and chaired her college’s Honor Board. Shreya is committed to using her legal education to advise startup companies in the technology and media sectors. At Columbia Law, she is a staff editor at the Science and Technology Law Review, Vice President of Empowering Women of Color, and Private Sector Chair of the South Asian Law Students Association. Passionate about volunteer service leadership, Shreya is the founder of Nourish America, an anti-hunger nonprofit, and she serves on the American Heart Association’s National Youth Leadership Council.
