Nardos Jebril is a graduating senior at School Without Walls High School in Washington, DC. She will attend Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, where she plans to major in Government, Law, and International Affairs. Nardos is passionate about criminal justice reform and aspires to become a criminal defense lawyer, specifically advocating for those who have been wrongfully accused. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to advocacy and public service through her work with the DC Youth and Government program, where she authored a bill on expanding advanced math access in middle schools. She also interned with a DC Superior Court judge and founded her school’s first Ethiopian and Eritrean Culture Club to uplift underrepresented voices. The FCBA scholarship will help Nardos pursue her education without financial barriers as she works toward a future grounded in equity and justice.
