Makayla Napper is a senior at Richard Wright Public Charter School and will be attending New York Institute of Technology for Chemistry. During her time at RWPCS, she was involved in choir, poetry, dance, art club, and also participated in the school’s gifted and talented program. She took honors and AP classes the majority of her time in high school and finished her senior year with a GPA of 4.2. Makayla is very passionate about the arts and has participated in the congressional art competition, music in the parks, and other artistic opportunities. She has also participated in her school’s art show where she sold $350 worth of art. By majoring in chemistry, Makayla wants to become an environmental engineer/scientist and help create clean energy solutions and climate change efforts.
