Kaylah Hester is a Biotechnology student and a graduating senior from McKinley Technology High School, located in Washington D.C. During her four years at Tech, she has taken a handful of Advanced Placement, honor and other rigorous classes. Additionally, she dedicates her time to extracurricular activities such as being captain of the poetry club, a member of the news and media club, participating in the Diplomatic Leaders Development Program (DLDP), and being a Marion Barry Youth Leadership Institute (MBYLI) participant. While doing such, she maintains a cumulative GPA of 4.19. Most recently in her list of achievements, she passed the Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam (BACE) becoming the first person in DCPS to do so. In the fall of 2022, she will be attending George Mason University to study global affairs with the desire of becoming a U.S. diplomat.
