Joelle Barksdale is a senior at School Without Walls High School and will attend The Ohio State University. She will be majoring in Biology on a pre-dental track. During high school, Joelle participated in many extracurricular activities, including girls’ varsity basketball and varsity co-ed golf. She also held roles in the Student Government Association (SGA) and was a co-founding member of the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) club (the first chapter at her school). In addition to her school involvement, she is a devoted Girl Scout. In college, Joelle plans to continue to be involved with clubs and organizations while studying to become a dentist with the goal of providing quality dental care to people of different socioeconomic statuses.
