Elizabeth Sigwarth is a rising 3L at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she has demonstrated a deep commitment to public service and the promotion of transparency in communications law. Her dedication to advocacy—a core value since a young age—led her to volunteer with Iowa Legal Aid during her 1L year, an experience that resulted in her induction into the University of Iowa Pro Bono Society. Through her work with the University of Iowa Technology Law Clinic, Elizabeth has advised clients on complex legal issues arising from emerging technologies, with a particular focus on surveillance and artificial intelligence. She is committed to using her legal education to protect personal information and ensure that vulnerable populations are not excluded from essential legal protections. Elizabeth looks forward to continuing this mission in the fall as she joins the Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council.
