Chinyeré Reid is graduating from Columbia Heights Educational Campus. In the fall, she will be attending American University, where she will be majoring in political science and international affairs. Her goal is to become a foreign service officer and help bridge connections between the US and other countries. During her time at Columbia Heights EC, Chinyeré served as senior class president as well as the president of the National Honor Society Chapter. At American University, she will participate in the Community-based research program, Community Impact Scholars, where she will engage in projects to help make change in her community. Her goal is to contribute to a future where more people who look like her are present in political leadership, diplomacy, and international affairs.
