Brooklynne Payne is a graduating senior from Dunbar High School. Throughout high school, she maintained honor roll status, served as Technology Student Association (TSA) President, and held leadership roles in several youth advocacy organizations such as the Mikva Challenge and the DC Girls Coalition. She is also an intern at the National Portrait Gallery, where she collaborates with teens to make art more accessible. Passionate about public health, she is part of the CFAR Scholars program and works as a sexual and mental health advocate with the Young Women’s Project. Brooklynne will attend Howard University in the fall, where she plans to major in Biology on the pre-med track. With a deep interest in HIV research and healthcare equity, her goal is to become a physician-researcher serving underrepresented communities. Her work is rooted in turning advocacy into action and making health care more inclusive and just.
