Annual Golf Tournament

Every year, the FCBA Foundation hosts a golf tournament in a location close to the Washington, D.C. metro area. An afternoon on pristine golf greens raises significant “green” for the FCBA Foundation programs, including scholarships and internships. Over the past two-plus decades, the tournament has raised more than $450,000 for FCBA Foundation charities and programs.

The 29^th Annual FCBA Foundation Robert Emmet Lee Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Tuesday, June 24 at Westfields Golf Club. The Tournament raised nearly $8,500 for the FCBA Foundation’s scholarship and internship stipend programs! The tournament is named in memory of former Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Robert Emmet Lee, who passed away in April 1993 after serving at the FCC for almost 30 years.

Eight teams competed for the vaunted Eagle Cup Trophy. Unseating the 2024 championship team from AT&T was the Davis Wright & Tremaine team – Adam Caldwell, Cristina Chou, Wes Heppler, and John Nelson. The other Eagle Club teams were: ACT | The App Association, AT&T, Cisco, Cox Enterprises, Slicers and Hookers, Wiley Rein LLP, and Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP.

Winners of the following contests were:

■ Closest to the Pin (Part Deux): Will Johnson, Verizon

■ Longest Drive – Men: Liam Fulling, Greenberg Traurig

■ Longest Drive – Women: Ellen Mathias, Apollo Global Management
