The FCBA TMT Law & Policy Pipeline Program Committee is pleased to launch the 2026–2027 application cycle. This competitive program helps first-year law students prepare for careers in technology, media, and telecommunications law and policy through specialized legal training, paid summer internships, mentorship, and access to the TMT legal community. FCBA members can support Year 7 by sharing the application opportunity, reviewing applications, or participating as employer partners.
Employers Needed for Summer 2027
Join our 30+ Summer Employers – returning and prospective employer partners are invited to host a talented first-year law student for a paid Summer 2027 internship. The Pipeline Program recruits and evaluates candidates from law schools nationwide, provides employers with a curated group of qualified students to interview, and prepares participants through an eight-session TMT certification program.
We would like to have confirmed employers in place by the first week of November. Law firms, corporations, associations, and nonprofits interested in participating should contact TMTPipeline@fcba.org for details and next steps.
Student Kickoff Sessions
Student informational kickoff sessions were held September 29 and 30, with more than 280 potential applicants registered across the two sessions. The sessions introduced students to Summer 2027 internship opportunities, the application and selection process, and career pathways in TMT law and policy.
Student Applications Open October 1 through 25
The student application portal is open October 1–25, 2026, and closes at midnight on Sunday, October 25. Eligible applicants are first-year students enrolled in a full-time degree program at an ABA-accredited law school who demonstrate an interest in TMT law and policy. Please share this opportunity with eligible students and law school networks.
Information, including Student Information Booklet and access to the Application Portal can be found at https://www.fcba.org/tmt-law-policy-pipeline-program/
