When children read, they build the academic and social-emotional skills needed to thrive. That’s why EWDC gives away more than 10,000 free books each year. Even more important is that 70% of these books elevate characters and perspectives underrepresented in children’s literature.
As part of the lead up to this year’s Charity Auction, we’re proud to support this effort by hosting a book drive that will put representative books directly into children’s hands.
We invite FCBA Members to participate by taking the following steps:
- Go to bit.ly/FCBA-EWDC-Book-Drive.
- Make your selection, and the books will automatically ship to EWDC’s office for use in an upcoming distribution.
- Forward your book order confirmation to fcba.auction.bookdrive26@gmail.com, indicating what organization/firm you are with.
We are excited to introduce a competitive element to the book drive. The organization that contributes the most books will be honored at this year’s Auction on Tuesday, November 10 and in the FCBA newsletter.
To have your books counted for a particular organization, please forward your book order confirmation to fcba.auction.bookdrive26@gmail.com indicating what organization/firm that you are with. We will accept these confirmation emails through Friday, November 6.

Members of the Auction Committee volunteered at EWDC’s Back to School, Back to Books service event on Friday, September 18. At the event, 130 volunteers processed 1,700 books!
