Vice President of Regulatory Affairs – ACA Connects seeks a motivated, experienced communications attorney to join its regulatory affairs team in Washington, DC. The position offers excellent opportunities for crafting legal and policy positions, directly advocating before federal agencies, particularly the FCC and NTIA, and at times on Capitol Hill, and interacting with the association’s member companies to understand their businesses and to educate them on regulatory and legal developments. Candidates must possess superior legal research and writing skills, particularly an ability to draft regulatory filings. An eye for detail is essential. An ability to manage and complete projects is also required. Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced setting, balance multiple projects and assignments, and have interpersonal skills. The association emphasizes teamwork within an informal environment. Position reports to the association’s Chief Regulatory Counsel. Prior work at the FCC, in the communications practice group of a law firm, in the legal department of a communications service provider, or at a communications focused public interest group is greatly favored. Other industry and regulatory experience is helpful. The position offers competitive pay and benefits and flexible working hours and conditions.
