Join Us for the 2021 Virtual Annual Seminar from May 13 – 17

The Annual Seminar Committee is planning a terrific program to be held May 13 – 17, with the goal of highlighting the good work of the FCBA chapters, as well as providing the usual substantive program, fireside chats with FCC Commissioners and other US government officials, and fun events, including a Family and Friends Sidewalk Chalk Challenge and Community Service Project, a Zumba class led by FCBA Chapter Representative Jackie McCarthy, and a cooking demonstration by FCBA Secretary Krista Witanowski.  We will end the program with the FCBA Mental Health Awareness Panel, which does not require an Annual Seminar registration to attend.  Please block your calendars for May 13 from 4:00 – 7:15 p.m. ET; May 14 from 11:40 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET; May 15 from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET; and May 17 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. ET

The Family and Friends Sidewalk Chalk ChallengeIn the next two weeks, gather your family and friends, get some sidewalk chalk (probably in your garage or shed from last summer – or very easy to order/purchase online or at your favorite local arts store) – and draw a picture in your driveway, your neighbor’s driveway, or community center parking lot (get permission first).  The theme is TECH BAR FUN.  Once you are done – take a picture.

Send the picture to Anisa Green (al7161@att.com) by May 12 and we will post your picture throughout the weekend.  On Saturday, during our community event, we will announce the winners and prizes will be sent to the winners.  When you submit your picture, be sure to name the artists and provide a primary contact.  Please contact Anisa with any questions.

Saturday Afternoon Community Service Event:  For our Virtual Community Service Event, we’ll be putting together a gift for a local homeless shelter of a no-sew fleece blanket and words of inspiration.  This activity welcomes members and their families (all ages welcome).  Click here for a list of project materials and more details.
