Date/Time: Tuesday, November 10, 2020

The FCBA Young Lawyers Committee (YLC) and the FCBA Foundation will hold their 31st Annual Charity Auction on Tuesday, November 10 – virtually – from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

The event page is NOW LIVE! Click here to access

This webpage is a one-stop-shop for all things Charity Auction related.  It provides everything needed for the event, from donation forms, to “save to calendar” widgets for calendar syncs, to up-to-date information on sponsors.

Closer to the time of the auction, the event page will also include a link to the online auction.  Like prior years, there will be plenty of time before and after the event to bid on items, as the online auction will be open from November 6th through 12th.  Unlike prior years, however, the online auction will be the only auction offered and replaces the silent auction tables and live auction elements of the event.  Additionally, the online auction will take place on a robust new platform—one that allows users to search for desired items by category, such as wine or experiences.  Essentially, all prizes will be available for bidding for an entire week online—a win for any non-locals in attendance this year.

On November 10, the event page will serve as a one-stop-shop for the virtual gala.  The gala will be live-streamed through the webpage and include fun features such as a chat window for attendees to connect and mingle, as well as a virtual photo booth to showcase excitement from home.  While we can expect the gala to focus on beneficiaries of the event, Reach Incorporated and the FCBA Foundation, there will also be a number of surprises, plus some surprise guests featured throughout (so pay attention!).  Lastly, as mentioned, although there will be no live auction component this year, attendees will still be able to access the online auction right from the event page for a seamless bidding experience during the gala and the host will likely highlight top prizes throughout the evening.

For those interested in donating prizes this year, we have implemented a contact-free policy for prize drop-offs.  Prizes can be mailed in to the FCBA, or safe arrangements can be made for someone at the FCBA office to receive prizes (more information in donation forms).  Additionally, while prize winners won’t be able to walk away with their winnings at the end of the night this year, the Charity Auction Prize Committee will work with individuals on pick-up or delivery options.

Overall, the YLC and FCBA Foundation are accepting all donations, including physical prizes.  Donors may wish to be cognizant of any prize limitations due to the pandemic and are welcome to consider donations that can be enjoyed with social distancing or that support local businesses.
