Topic: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) looks to a number of advisory committees to provide insight into the direction of technology and help mold the regulatory agenda. This session will focus on the FCC’s Technology Advisory Committee (TAC), an advisory committee composed of a diverse array of leading experts that helps the FCC identify important areas of innovation and develop informed technology policies supporting America’s competitiveness and job creation in the global economy. We will be joined by Dennis Roberson, TAC Chair, President and CEO of Roberson and Associates, and Research Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, who will provide an overview of the TAC, its areas of existing work, and what it is expected to explore in 2017.
