Are you interested in learning about how emergency calls are handled from answer to first responder dispatch? Then join the HSEC Committee for a tour of the DC Office of Unified Communications (OUC). The mission of the OUC is to provide a fast, professional and cost-effective response to emergency and non-emergency calls in the District. Created in fiscal year 2005, the OUC consolidates the emergency 911 and 311 non-emergency call activities from the Metropolitan Police Department, Fire and Emergency Medical Services and customer service operations.
