Topic: Contraband Prison Phones: Technical, Legal and Regulatory Approaches to Addressing the Issue.  Contraband wireless phones have been used to conduct a variety of criminal activities from behind bars and earlier this year FCC Chairman Pai convened a workshop to discuss possible answers for combating the problem.  Participants included a wide variety of stakeholders and the result was the creation of a Contraband Task Force charged with examining technical, legal and regulatory solutions.  The Task Force is in the process of wrapping up its initial work and looks to present its findings by mid-January 2019.
