Date/Time: Tuesday, July 21, 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. or Thursday, July 23, 12:00 – 12:45 p.m.
Location: Virtual via the Zoom platform

Description: Calling all law students, young lawyers, and lawyers-in-transition! Register now to participate in an upcoming virtual mentoring session. Each session will include a 20-minute small-group breakout (up to 3 mentees with 2 mentors) for an opportunity to engage in an open and frank conversation about career goals, finding opportunity and dealing with limitations in the current environment, and lessons learned.

Mentors: A few of the mentors already committed include a former acting FTC chairman; several individuals who are or have been leaders within the FCC, including in the Chairman’s Office; a law firm managing partner; a leader of the telecom practice at a different firm; a law school professor; the head of regulatory affairs at a trade association; several leaders at in-house regulatory/policy shops; and individuals with hiring authority or experience on hiring committees. Given the disparate effect of the economic downturns and the current no-school environment on women and people of color, the Diversity Committee has intentionally recruited several mentors who can share their experiences navigating a challenging job market as members of traditionally underrepresented groups.

Join for either or both sessions (you will be paired with a different mentor if you register for both).  Registration will close two days prior to the event.
