The FCBA’s Mass Media and Video Programming and Distribution Committees will host a CLE on Tuesday, February 21 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. entitled “Legal Issues in the Transition to ATSC 3.0.”  The program will be held at Wiley Rein, 1776 K Street, NW.

The CLE will include three panels looking at various issues that will arise in television stations’ transition to a new transmission standard.  The first panel will provide background about the new standard and discuss the status of the FCC’s rulemaking proceeding and the issues that it will address.  The second panel will explore the financial impacts of ATSC 3.0 and legal questions involved in stations sharing facilities as part of the transition.  The third panel will discuss the impact of a new standard on MVPDs and other distributors of television signals.
