The first session will present and discuss various ways in which UAS are being used today in life savings techniques, law enforcement, search and rescue, public safety, homeland security, commercial and other areas.  This session will also discuss checklists to implement UAS programs with and without Federal assistance along with the initial, evolution and current federal and state laws and regulations governing the use of UAS including FCC spectrum management, FAA approvals, state budgets, federal support and the Stafford Act.

The second session will discuss hot topics, current problems and solutions arising from the use of UAS by governments, organizations and individuals.  Topics will include the ways in which federal and state agencies are countering illegal use and terrorist attacks, operations beyond visual line of sight, congestion management in public places, training and equipping manpower, shortages in enforcement of regulatory compliance and privacy concerns over the recordings.
